Physics and Snap! - Animating ideas

Here is a very simple Snap! program that makes a car move across a display. Click the green flag and watch what happens. Then, click on the icon with two arrows to collapse the display to view the Snap! programming blocks that moved the car. Even if you have never written a program, you can understand what those blocks do.

The one bit of physics, here, is the displacement of the car by two pixels in each cycle of the repeat block. It is a straight forward road to include time, velocity, and acceleration. With acceleration, force can be included which brings all of the topics of mechanics into the realm of possibility.
